Hand-built in Essex since 1986

Compact campers, made to fit your life.

Unsure whether your next car or campervan should be petrol, hybrid or electric? A Dashaway sidesteps the question. These lightweight towable folding campers tow behind almost any vehicle you own now — and the EV you might choose later. Hand-built one at a time in Essex, they fit in your garage and set up roadside in the time it takes to raise a camper-van roof and rotate the cab seats, with the same comforts (including a larger bed) for far less money.

A service for owners

Already own a Wheelhome and now wish to sell it?

We’ll help sell it for you, whatever its age. We built it, so we know it best. Your Wheelhome stays with you throughout — we handle the enquiries and marketing, with professional photos and video if you’d like them.

Card payments taken, including credit cards.

Aftercare for owners

Own a Wheelhome that needs some attention?

We repair and refurbish Wheelhomes of any age, campervans and towables alike. Water pumps, auxiliary batteries, cabinet repairs, tired trim, a faded elevating roof resprayed, or a full freshen-up before you sell. We built them, so we know what sits behind every panel. Bring yours to the workshop at Brentwood — but please do call first and talk it through.

Our current models — new, built to order

One person or two?

There are two to choose from — start by picking how many of you are travelling.

These are the brand-new Dashaway campers we build to order today. Both share the same all-electric, gas-free cooking, solar power with two to three days off-grid living, and five-minute setup. The difference is the layout: the one-berth has a single seat and a fuller built-in kitchen, while the two-berth seats two and uses a clever flexible kitchen. Pick the one that suits how you travel.

One berth · solo

Dashaway ECTS

For solo travellers and dog owners

Travelling alone? The single-berth ECTS gives one person a generous, super-wide bed and room to spread out — plus space for the dog. With one seat, there’s room for a fuller kitchen: the microwave and induction hob are built into an extended worktop. It also comes with a remote-control Motor Mover as standard, so you can park and pitch single-handed.

  • Dedicated single berth, extra-wide
  • Built-in microwave and induction hob in an extended kitchen
  • Motor Mover fitted as standard
  • From 400kg, including the Motor Mover — tows behind a small car or EV
Two berth · couples

Dashaway ECT2

For couples and two travelling together

Travelling as two? The ECT2 has a two-seat sofa that converts to a comfortable double in seconds — or make it up as a single when only one of you is travelling, so the camper works just as well solo. To make room for the second seat, it uses a flexible kitchen — the microwave and induction hob lift onto the fold-down side worktops when you cook, then stow neatly away when you don’t, freeing up space. It’s the lighter of the pair from 395kg, with no Motor Mover fitted, so two people can easily manoeuvre it by hand — though a Motor Mover is available as an option.

  • Two-berth double, sofa converts in seconds
  • Two seats, with a flexible microwave and induction hob
  • From 395kg — our lightest, with no Motor Mover fitted
  • Tows behind a small car or EV
